It’s Restaurant Week 🥘 🍤 🍗 🌮

It’s restaurant week here in Jamaica which is the perfect excuse to indulge in some tasty culinary delights. It’s pretty easy to eat well here as there is an abundance of fresh seafood (perks of being surrounded by the Caribbean Sea) and fresh fruit and veg grow literally everywhere!

On a student budget, I’ve found I can eat really nice food at reasonable prices in various different locations. Throughout restaurant week and my time here, I want to show you some of the great eats and who knows you may end up trying these places out yourself.

I will warn you, since landing in Jamaica I’ve been a little seafood obsessed…🍤

Most recently I had the pleasure of going on a brunch date with the beautiful Naomi, (we’re practically cousins) and here’s what we had;

Starter: Crab Chowder in a Bread Roll  – The perfect starter, great portion size and the chowder had a little kick as well as generous amounts of crab and steamed vegetables. Could eat this every day!

Main: Lobster Mac & Cheese – Rich and incredibly tasty. The chunks of lobster beneath a healthy serving of melted cheese generously layered over soft pasta shells just YUM!

Dessert: Sadly no space but they all sounded amazing! – Naomi ordered a slice of Mango and Key Lime Cheesecake to go and it looked as beautiful as I’m sure it would have tasted.
